The high-voltage tail must be reliably grounded, and the product's grounding terminal must also be connected to earth before operation.
Q2: How to switch between AC and DC testing?
For DC tests, remove the silicon stack shorting rod (D) and series excitation rod (C) from the bushing, then wrap them in clean insulating paper. Reinstall both rods before returning to AC testing.
Q3: What maintenance is needed for the bushing?
If oil level is low (indicated by visible corona on the inner wall), remove the shorting rod and inject 25# transformer oil through the opening. Clean dirty bushing surfaces with a dry cloth before use.
