When conducting transformer tests, first ensure the transformer is completely de-energized and grounded. This is to ensure operator safety and avoid the risk of electric shock. During the test, the test voltage should be gradually increased to avoid sudden voltage increases that could damage the equipment. Insulation resistance testing is a crucial part of transformer testing. The test voltage is typically 1000V, and the test time should be no less than 1 minute to ensure the accuracy of the test results. In addition, temperature rise testing is essential. The winding temperature rise should not exceed the allowable value; for example, the allowable temperature rise for Class B insulation is 80℃. In short-circuit impedance testing, the current should be controlled within 1.2 times the rated current to ensure the stability and safety of the equipment during normal operation.

 

Safety First: Always operate with the power off during testing. Maintain a safe distance during high-voltage testing.

Environmental Requirements: Avoid testing in humid, high-temperature, or strong electromagnetic interference environments.

Regular Calibration: The tester needs to be calibrated regularly to ensure data accuracy.

Abnormal Handling: If any abnormality is encountered during testing (such as large data fluctuations), stop the test immediately and check the connections or transformer condition.
